Cabbage Salad with Lime & Soy

We often get questions about what a meal can actually look like during our 5-day program. Some people imagine that you only drink something for five days – but that’s not the case. Yes, we eat. We simply simulate fasting.

During these days we focus on simple, plant-based and gluten-free meals that are gentle on the body while still offering flavor, nutrients, and a bit of crunch. The idea is to give the body a break – without completely stopping eating.

This crisp cabbage salad with lime and tamari is one example of what a meal during the program might look like. Fresh, simple, and full of flavor. Ideally served with a small ginger shot on the side.

Ingredients

150 g white cabbage

30 g fresh spinach

8 g flat-leaf parsley

1 tbsp lime juice

1 tsp tamari (Japanese soy sauce)

4 g olive oil

4 g sesame oil

4 g sesame seeds

1 pinch salt

1 pinch black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the finely shredded cabbage in a bowl.
  2. Add the chopped spinach and parsley and toss to combine.
  3. Drizzle over the lime juice, tamari, olive oil, and sesame oil.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper, then sprinkle over the sesame seeds.
  5. Toss well until everything is evenly coated. Let the salad rest for a few minutes so the cabbage softens slightly before serving.
