Beetroot porridge with chocolate and peanut spread

More greens in the breakfast! This delicacy was cooked for 100 people at a breakfast event… Our hands were all red for a week after that. But it turned out really well!

Beetroot porridge with chocolate and peanut spread

Ingredients

3 dl oatmeal

3 tablespoons sunflower seeds

4 tablespoons peanut butter (without sugar)

1 tablespoon cocoa

To have at home

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 cream salt, 1 cream vanilla powder, 1 teaspoon honey

For serving

Curd, skimmed oatmeal, chocolate and peanut spreads or nuts and berries

Instructions

Peel and grate the beets finely. Mix them with oatmeal, sunflower seeds, cinnamon, salt, vanilla powder and 5 dl water in a saucepan. Let boil for a few minutes.

Chocolate and peanut spread

Stir together 4 tablespoons peanut butter (without sugar) with 1 tablespoon cocoa and 1 teaspoon honey.

Notes

TIP!

Vary the porridge with grated carrot and cinnamon, grated zucchini with ginger and banana, or grated parsnip with cardamom!
