Eat the Seasons: June
June is the month of flowers, at least here in Sweden. But what fruits and vegetables are in season? Here’s a list, and remember: seasonally grown fruits and vegetables are more nutritious, and often cheaper.
Herbs:
Basil, dill, chives, nettles, parsley
Cabbage:
Cauliflower, kohlrabi, cone cabbage
Vegetables:
Broccoli, cucumber, radishes, sugar snaps, asparagus, tomatoes
Onions:
Fresh yellow onions, fresh red onions, fresh garlic, scallion, leek
Root vegetables:
Carrots, parsnip, freshly dug new potatoes, beetroot
Lettuce:
Chinese cabbage, iceberg lettuce, romaine, arugula, spinach
