January
Now we’ve said goodbye to January and we are hereby a month closer to our favorite time of spring. How wonderful! We also like winter – snow, cross-country skiing, hot chocolate, frost and winter ice water dips – but nothing beats the first day of spring.
No point in waiting for the future. Let’s summarize the first month of 2021!
*
Reading of the month: This month we both plowed through the 24-hour code of Satchin Panda. So interesting and well written. If you are not a reader but prefer to listen, we can recommend our upcoming episode on our English podcast “The Food Pharmacy Show” where we interview Mr Panda about the importance of following a circadian rhythm. Keep an eye out!
*
Dinner of the month: Since Mia is moving soon and so right now she is between two homes, in the name of honesty, there has not been much cooking in recent weeks. She panicked this morning when she was going to drink coffee and realized that she had neither a coffee maker nor a cup! But among the best we have cooked in the office during January was probably this gluten-free garlic bread made with almond flour!
*
The most fun of the month: That Mia got a kitten from our best friend Ninni! His name will be Whistler and he will move in mid-April. We can almost guarantee more pictures in the near future.
Exercise of the month: Ski and paddle tennis. Their tied for first place.
*
This month’s TV series: The Queen’s Gambit (if you ask Mia) and Le Bureau Des Legends (if you ask Lina).
*
Vegetable of the month: As usual we have to answer garlic. Which month doesn’t garlic top our favorites list? None to often is all we can say.
*
Song of the month: Just listened to a documentary and will probably have to answer Whitney Houston. Hard to choose one song… Or what the hell, this dance song of course!
And with that, we close January with a big smile on our faces and fluffy snowflakes in our hair.
