Frozen Strawberry Milk With Strawberries And Lime
This may be the freshest strawberry dessert of the summer – fresh strawberries with frozen strawberry milk and lime. Not to mention, it is so insanely easy to do! Just mash strawberries (or pulse in a mixer) with your preferred milk, vanilla and honey. And then you freeze it!
When you get a strawberry craving, you just take out the strawberry milk from the freezer, slice up fresh strawberries and top with the frozen milk. But patience is a virtue here – the first time we couldn’t wait to try it and it was too hard. But if you allow it to thaw for about 15 minutes (or maybe even half an hour?) the flavors come out more!
The final touch is to add some lime zest and a spoonful of coconut cream. On the day we were going to photograph it, we ran into some wild clovers in the woods, (haha, sounds almost like we ran into an old friend) and we tossed that over the dessert too. Other funs herbs to try might be chopped rosemary (skip the lime zest in that case) – rosemary marries really nicely with strawberries. And if you are feeling really daring then you could also add a drizzle of olive oil?!
Pro tip: This recipe doesn’t just have to be eaten as a dessert. Last weekend we served it as brunch for the whole family out on the terrace!
