Chocolate Balls 2.0
Sometimes it happens that you are wrong. And it can feel heavy for a few minutes, but sometimes bad news can bring good with it, right?
Like this time.
Last week we published a chocolate ball recipe here on the blog. And then a happy reader heard about it and thanked so much for the recipe and took the opportunity to share his favorite chocolate ball recipe in return. We read the recipe. Looked up from the computer. Read again. Sighed. And realized we have to try it.
All said and done, on Friday night we stood once again with our hands covered in traces of chocolate. We tasted the batter. We hummed. Rolled into small balls. Tasted again. And realized we were defeated. This was the best recipe for chocolate balls we have ever tasted.

Ingredients
1 cup oatmeal
7 fresh dates
3 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
1/4 cup coconut flakes
a splash of vanilla extract
a pinch of sea salt
1 tablespoon cocoa
plus extra coconut flakes (to roll in)
Instructions
Pulse everything into a large ball using a food processor. If the batter does not come together, use a bit of coffee or water (1 teaspoon is enough). Form balls and roll in coconut flakes. These last up to a whole week in the fridge. Thank you “Johanna” for the tip!
